Xcaret has been awarded for the third consecutive year as the Best Water Park in the world. It’s no coincidence, there are many reasons why this award has been won.
Despite having visited the Riviera Maya many times, I had never been able to visit the Eco Park.
But a few months ago, I decided to live near Cancun, so now I have the time to visit all the wonders at the Riviera Maya.
Just a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit the wonderful Park for the first time.
It’s much better than I imagined!
I want to share with you the wonders of this beautiful site because it is a place that you have to visit at least one time.
Where is Xcaret Park located
Getting there is very easy, you can take a bus at ADO from Cancun or Playa del Carmen.
By taxi, although it is more expensive.
If you have a car, don’t worry parking is free.
One more option, you can buy the entrance to the Park and for an extra amount, it includes transportation from your hotel. Very easy!
From the moment I arrived at the fabulous entrance to Xcaret, I knew it was going to be an extraordinary day.
The first TIP is Don’t forget to bring Biodegradable Sunscreen! This is very important, we have to avoid causing damage to the delicate ecosystems. I found a very good article that explains a little more about the importance of Biodegradable Sunscreen.
Do not worry about finding it, since in many places in the tourist areas you can buy it, or even in the shop at the entrance. You will enter a huge palapa where you can find everything you need for your visit.
The most important is to take a free map of the park, they have it in many languages. The park is huge, approximately 80 hectares. But don’t worry, on the map everything is marked and it is easy to locate.
Well, ready with my map, I started my adventure. I was very excited about this amazing Eco Park.
